I'm a Bronco newbie...converting from Jeeps. Bought a '79 Ranger XLT edition that's in decent shape. I can't tell if it has a 351M or 400M in it. Does anyone have a VIN decoder or know of a website?

Thanks,

-Jhill

Look for the emissions tag on the hood or drivers valve cover. The only other way to tell visually is to pull the oil pan and look at the casting # on the crank. The only difference is the crank and the pistons. The rest of the parts are the same for both motors.
