I have a carb 302 I'm rebuilding and want it to have more power mainly low and mid range. Was thinking cam intake and headers. I want a cam with a little bit of lope in idle but not to much of sacrifice to the low end. Suggestions? Also thinking edelbrock performer intake long tube headers and port and polish stock heads. Comments or suggestions?

sounds like you pretty much got it all figured out, don't forget with the new cam its also a good idea to rebuild the heads with hardened valves and newer springs and seals so they stay closed when their supposed to
