edelbrock carb

I just recently bought a 600 cfm 4 barrell edelbrock carb and an edelbrock intake to go with it. It is a 351M/400 size motor. It is on a 1978 Ford F150. I am having trouble figuring out which lines go where on the new carb. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction that would help.

Ok, I should have asked more questions. What are the model of carb and intake that you bought? Do you have the evaporative emissions canister/s?

the carb is an edelbrock 1406 and the intake is a streetmaster 400.. Im not sure about the evaporative canisters. I don't really know what that is.

As far as the carb is concerned, it looks like all you need to hook up is the PCV valve to a large port at the base of the carb and the distributor advance line to one of the small ports at the base. You need to have a vacuum tree to hook up the transmission and brake booster vacuum lines. If that leaves any ports with nothing hooked to them, get some vacuum caps from a parts store to cover them with.

Is the PCV valve the line that come out the valve cover where the oil goes in?

Not if it is at the base of the carb. The timed line is on the side of the carb near the top at least it is on a Holley.
