Alot of the stuff on the california vehicles is special especailly the emissions system . I think the mass air systems were used there first as well . That dizzy is special kinda looks like a TFI but not quite a normal one and surely not the duraspark unit you would normally find an an 84 . Does it have a servo on the carb ? throttle position sensor ? If so look behind the kick panel on the drivers side there should be an EEC module there post the numbers that are on it . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Ok so this morning while the bronco was warming up. I took off the kick panel there is a cover that is there being held by four bolts. i didnt have any wrenches with me so I will check when I get home. I hope the pic of the carb will help I dont know if it has the servo on it.

Looks te be a very early EEC emissions control system . Really need the numbers to find out for sure . You will probably have to remove it all and go to a standard ignition to get away from that setup :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
