distibutor wireing :unsure:

hi i have a 1984 bronco xlt 4x it had a 351w in it stock but # 2 cylender went out so i swaped it with a 302 out of an 80's mustang with a cam and weind intake and a holly on that but it didnt have a distibutor so i took a distibutor out of an 85 f150 (302 EFI) and put it on my 302 and plugged the wireing harness to the distibutor t and then it fired ujp runs strong but i herd from my frineds that since i didnt hook up the vacum lines to the electrical box (that used to mount on the valve cover) that my motor is going to burn up or somthing so now i dont want to drive it cause im scared that im going to ruin that engine oplz any help greaty appreacheated

 

and if i put 4 in lift coils do i need drop brackets of any kind thanks

The TFI dizzy from an EFi motor will prolly not work in your 84, but alot depends on the engine that you swapped from the ustang. Since Ford used a few different types of ignition systems and distributors during the mid-80's, I can't tell you specifically which one you need. My solution for my EFI460 swap to carb was to install an HEI dizzy, and get rig of all of the other ignition boxxes and modules. DUI sells one for your 302 for about $380, but there are several on ebay for undr $100. I paid $72 shipped for mine from White Performance.
