disassembly of the speedometer

i need to change the face of the speedometer. how do you get the needl to come off without breaking it? i have one that the needle is already broken on. but the face is good. i have another that has a bed face but the needle is good.

Good luck, I would just try gently prying right next to the shaft, but then you have probably already tried that. You might want to check the LMC truck catalog for a replacement.

Maybe use a small crow bar (like for trim nails) with the "V" for nails in it to pry it off

i signed up for email notification of replies to this topic. why didnt i get them? i dont have any spam software. i turned it off at my isp. as far as goignt o lmc. i am not trign to buy something i am tryign to repair soemthing so i can sell it. if i cant fix it i will probably end up trashing it.
