Buying Guides

Hi guys,

This is my first post, so be gentle. I tried searching, but did not find anything related to a buyers guide for these trucks. I'm looking to get a 93-96 model and I have checked out a couple in my area and the prices are ranging from under 3K to over 10K. They all "look" good to me, but I was wondering if these trucks had certain issues that I should be looking for?

I plan on using the truck as a "fun truck" and winter truck. I might use it for plowing, but not sure yet.

Make sure it gets good gas milage! Just kidding... I believe the magor issues are rust above the rear fenders and on the tailgate and if it has a push button 4x4 the motors sometimes like to go out but the easiest fix for that is to wait for it to go out and put in a manual shift t-case. Another issue is the switches and motor to role down the back window may go out but that's an easy fix. All this is easy stuff to deal with as long as you don't mind doing it yourself. Rather inexpensive if you do it yourself too. Well, hope that clears some stuff up...
