Here is what happened. He first sent me an e-mail I did not receive then tried calling but got the West Coast Broncos down south. He tried to file a claim with UPS but they told him that the shipper had to do so not him. Now the neat part, according to UPS since I sent this via a UPS store they are the shipper not me, so I was not notified by UPS.
After all the other stuff went down here I the web I was made aware of it and as you know I posted here to get a hold of him. I could not find record of a sale to anyone with his user name.
He finely made contact with me and I was able to locate his transaction under his real name. I told him that I would pay him for the loss myself . I have decided not to take it up with UPS and will use it as a lesson learned. Payment was issued yesterday via my online bill pay system. He should have it with in a few days.
I have never had a problem with a customer before ever, so I guess it was my turn. Word of advice to anyone with this problem, keep trying to get a hold of the seller. Dewey gave up after two attempts at contacting me and contacting UPS. The package did ship and the part was lost by UPS but I am the one that got the bad press. Also pay for the insurance, it is cheap compared to the hassle.
As you most likely know we do not sell parts under the West Coast Broncos.Com name any longer. In fact it is only a club. But I felt that paying him was the honorable thing to do.
please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.
