bumper trimming

Looking for some pointers or methods on how to trim my front bumper. I have seen it done different ways sometimes. when i back up and turning my tires rub on the bumper just slightly but i dont want to mess up new tires.

When I bought mine, someone had already fixed that. All they did was get some longer bolts, made a spacer out of some old scrap metal, and spaced the bumper out a bit. Works fine, and nobody notices unless I point it out.

While I've never had to chop one myself I *have* seen guys who trimmed the ends & then used generic U-channel type trim pieces to cover the cut ends and I've also seen bumper end-caps sourced from junkyards used for the same purpose. Just stroll thru your local salvage yard & look for something the same size as your bumper, trim the **** out of it & then use the endpiece to cover it.

Also what do you prefer to trim the fenders with??
