Today I went to the junkyard with my boyfriend to look for a bumper for his father's car and I spotted three Broncos in there.One was a shiny 92-96 blue/white XLT with lots of good parts,the wheel wells and tailgate are shot,the doors don't close but the front bumper and a lot of other parts looked good.There is a late 80's black and silver XLT that is identical to mine that is pretty much complete,and another black late 80's XLT that is complete and rusty.All of them have bad tailgates.Also there are loads of 80-96 F-series trucks there (mostly 87-91).They let you in the yard for a dollar a person and you have to sign in.The yard is Chuck&Eddies (Mitchel's used auto parts) 450 Old Turnpike Rd. Southington Connecticut.I don't have a phone number for them.

yo,

Good info and finds!

Here is Chuck and Eddie's site; http://www.chuckandeddies.com/main/CHUCKEDDIE-page.asp?p=1

===========

btw, For a YARD SEARCH on-line, I use;

http://www.mypartshop.com

Select:

All Parts

year, etc, then FORD TRUCK

sometimes, when a specific part ins't in da List, I look for something close to it or attached in it

but C&E is't shown since they prob don't have a database listing or participate in da program;

other On-line yard searches are;

http://www.copartfinder.com has pics!

I was at Chuck&Eddies Saturday and found a tire carrier for my Bronco and there was another blue&white 87/88 Bronco in there that wasn't there a week ago and it even had a plow frame on it.The other Broncos I mentioned earlier are still there except the all black late eighties one.I would take pics but I'm not sure if they would get upset or not.Just wanted to share some of my finds.

yo, ok

Ask them about pics; they are in business to Sell and make $ so I'm sure they would desire to have their products (too bad I have to call a yard Bronco a producrt now) shown to potential buyers.

Btw, if you see any Bushwacker Cut-Out Flares there on a 92-96, let me know please. I am thinking of going that route now.

I needed a gas tank for my Bronco so I ordered a new one but when I took the old tank down the skid plate pretty much crumbled so I went up to Chuck&Eddies in Southington Connecticut and took one off a 95 Eddie Bauer.There were five Broncos up there when I went last Tuesday (all but one were 92-96).One had the overhead console with the electronic compass and thermometer and a bunch of other good stuff.The first Bronco I looked at for the skid plate was pretty much stripped out and before I left they lifted it with the payloader and put it onto some Mazda and then lifted them both together and I assume they were going to the crusher.It was kind of sad to see.So if your in the area and need parts for your Bronco I would hurry up because they don't keep the vehicles there very long.
