bronco script valve covers and EFI?

I'm rebuilding a 5.8L out of a 1995 E150 for my 73 bronco, I would like to put the bronco script valve covers on it but they say that they will not work on efi engines. I am going to be running a set of gt40 heads and an explorer/cobra upper on a cast iron marine 5.8L lower. When you search "early bronco efi" on Google image's you can see many engines with those valve covers running efi. So what gives? What doesn't work about them on efi? Is there anybody on here that has these valve covers and efi? Thanks in advance!

I suspect that it is a clearance problem if it exists at all.  Put them on and see if you have a fitment problem.
