i know that i said i made up my mind on a bronco, but my dads sebring blew a fuse yesterday and we tracked it to the starter. it is a 96 and is almost the exact same model as broncoboys dads. it is a 1996 chrysler sebring jx. it has near 70,000 miles on it and is in fairly good condition for around $3,000. it has hail damage and a tiny spot of rust. top is fine and it has been well maintained. most broncos i am lookin at are nearin $4,000 with over 120,000. but then again, it is alot more vehicle and motor than a sebring. by the way, the sebring is a convertible. i really want a bronco, but gas is a little much. even though its under $2.00 a gallon around here. as im writin this, i realize how much ive heard about sebrings. i just need some help from you guys.

ALL FEELINGS ASIDE. JUST FROM WHAT YA KNOW. 1996 CHRYSLER SEBRING JX CONVERTIBLE FOR $3,800 OR A 90-96 FORD BRONCO FOR AROUND $4,000 WITH MORE MILES?

It is all in what you like.  Can't make up your mind for you.  After all this is a Bronco lovers site.  So if you ask us there is no question which we would choose.
Good luck,

good point.

my dad thinks the sebring is the best because of fuel economy. i was lookin at bronco IIs, but they just cant compare with the fullsize. pluse they have a short wheel base which makes for easy rollin.

The Broncos are more because they hold their value better than a sebring. I think Sebrings are front wheel drive, in which case i personaly would stay away from (I know this is with opinions) because its more compact which makes it harder for me to work on.

But yes sebrings are better on gas I live in south florida where mile long gas lines and gas at 3.50 per gallon made me stop and think (only after the hurricanes). Take the cheapest route, write it all out and include everything; basic repairs, gas, insurance, how much your going to drive it. I would shoot myself in the foot if the cheapest was the Sebring but i would still drive it, and i would still dream about the bronco untill i could afford it.

I'm in the U.S. Navy so there are plenty of days I don't have a chance to drive my Bronc' via out to sea. As well as myself I have a shipmate of mine that has a Sebring that is on the same ship as me and drives his wifes car more anyways. This guy may be a car ignorant but I'm not. That's why he's always asking me to help him fix that damn thing. Now, have I never had a problem with the Bronc'? Yes I have and they come up all the time. However, I drive my truck like it's a drag car/monster truck/ indy car/ nascar. On the otherhand, this shipmate of mine doesn't drive his Chrystler that hard. Just thought I would put in my two cents. b-(

Of course your dad likes the Sebring better he no doubt paid a bundle more for it than he's asking you to pay. The Bronco will not only hold it's value longer but actually be something worth owning & keeping over time. I lived through $3.35 a gallon gas this summer feeding my fleet.

Best advice I can give you is get a girlfriend with an economy car & take her car on trips with no Bronco fun involved.
