Hello,

I have posted several problems about my brakes on this site before, and actually I think SeaBronc helped with part of the problem. I will go ahead and start at the root of my issues. First of all, I have a '93 Bronco, fullsize. I installed 33" tires on it, replacing the original 31" ones, it was about this time that I started to experience some brake slippage. What the brakes do is this, when I brake hard or slow, either way they work fine, until about the last 10-15 feet of braking distance, this is where they appear to lose pressure and release, if you let off the brakes and then reapply pressure they work fine though.... at first I thought it was a dirty ABS sensor, so I took off the hubs etc, and got in there and cleaned them off, well that seemed to help for a while, but then it started acting up again. What I am thinking is that there is a problem with the larger tires and the ABS system itself. Does anyone know of a way to correct the speedometer in a way that relays to the brakes? What I think is happening is that the ABS thinks the tires are locked up, since the speed of the wheel does not match the speed of the vehicle and it then releases the pressure to the brakes, exactly what it is supposed to do if your brakes are locked up right? Anyone ever heard of this? Also, the johnny law-dogs in Texas are going to bust me for sure since my spedo does not read quite accurate are there any easy ways to convert the spedo for larger tires? Any advice would be appreciated- B-Cack
