Boy does this subject bring back some fond memories. I actually had a guy on here argue with me over the same items as road **** stated. he said you didnt need to do anything with a 3" body lift. (whatever). In my opinion, you would be much happier with a suspension lift. They are more money, yes. But think about why you want to lift the truck. If you are just cruising to the mall and want it to look taller, the body lift will work fine. If you can live with all the unsightly gaps, also remember to check for wiring length issues from frame to cab as well. If you plan on taking the truck off road then the body lift is pretty much useless as far as ground clearance goes, youll only gain from the tire size, which will only be an inch or so. Personally, Ide put the stock mounts on and pony up the bucks for the real thing. youd be so much happier.
