How do you take the black thing below the front bumper off. Theres no head pattern on top of them and i dont wanna hack them off in fear of sratching the chrome.

Not that horribly complicated there sport. If you really want the air dam off there, and don't plan to put it back on, get to cutting or just pull/pry it off. It can be done without scratching the chrome, just be careful. And, ****, if you do scratch it, it's on the BOTTOM of the bumper where no one can see anyway.

The best way to remove that part is to hit a Lexus (based on personal expierence). The thing pulls off just shove a screwdriver between it and the chrome and pry.

mine doesn't. my old one had one but it got ripped off in the mud as well. although i didn't leave it on my roof.

i just wore a pair of gloves, took a crow bar to it, and pulled til the bastard came off. it did put up a fight towards the ends though because i had to pull it awkward angles.
