One of the reasons I bought her was to drop the top this summer. Any suggestions on where to get on or which company makes the best?

Well, this subject has been beaten to death in the archives so a quick search of "soft top" (don't forget to use quotation marks) will give you ALL sorts of info. Having said that, it really doesn't matter because you only have three choices, 1) buy the fastback softtop from softtops.com http://sf2000.registeredsite.com/~user8531...oduct_Code=FBST because they are the ONLY company currently selling them 2) Search Ebay for a new or used top from a different company or 3) Have one fabricated locally by an upholstery or boat shop. That's it, those are your choices.

Bill is right, it has been a large subject around the Bronco circles. I wish some ingenious soft top company would figure out they have a huge market for these things since the top design would work for sixteen years of production vehicles. That is a lot of Broncos. I bet the design of one to fit 78-79 would only be slightly different adding two more years and thousands of possible customers.

If I had the money I would start the company myself "Jed's Soft Top Company - We blanket down the wild Bronco"
