Im about to get my 94 bronco lifted and i need to decide on what tires to get and im stuck between the micky thompson baja mtz's and the bfgoodrich mud terrains. Im gonna be getting either the 35x12.50 mud terrains or the 36x15 baja mtz's. Im gonna be driving the bronco on the street alot as well as taking it offroading. a) which one is the better tire and b ) how far out are the bajas gonna stick out because they have a 15" diameter?

here's my old truck with a 16" wide tire. keep in mind the width of your wheel will also determine how far it pushes out from underneath the fender. these wheels were 15x12.

I am on my 2nd set of 31x10.50x15 BFG M/Ts on my 93 with stock suspension. They are great in the mud, very durable, and I got over 50K miles on my 1st set. As mud tires go, they are not terribly loud. Good road manners, dry, rain or snow. Don't have any experience with the mickey's but you cant go wrong with the BFGs

i work at a tire store here in ma and we sell alot of mud tires to people who want it to ride smooth but work good off road. i would recomend the toyo open country mt its gonna last the longest but work very very well in the mud they are also the best quality tire you can buy.

If you're choosing between the two, why not the 35 12.5 15 MTZ?? That way at least you're comparing apples to apples....
If you live in the snow belt, the MTZ will provide better traction on ice and snow due to the fact that it is siped.
I have a couple of customers that have well over 40,000 miles on their MTZs and still have in excess of 50% tread remaining on their tires. The tires in question are rotated every 3,000 miles and are kept at proper air pressures every time they are on pavement. Oh, and these are all being run on either HD class Duramaxes, or 2500 Cummins.
The BFG muds also wear very well on pavement, but they too will need proper care and attention when mounted on your TTb front end.
The Toyos are also an excellent choice for all year use, but the 35 is a 13.5" wide tire, something you may want to consider if you are worried about width.

the BFG's will last longer then the mickeys. i think they look nicer too.

Unfortunately, I have never been in snow over about 6 inches deep. <_< Always get out in town ahead of the plows and climb the steepest hills in town, but nothin very deep.
