1993 Ford Bronco XLT 5.0 V8

I'm a young bronco enthusiest so I don't know everything about 4wheel drive, but i do know automatic hubs can put you in some stuck situations and i'd like to convert to manual locking. where do I start and where can i find parts and/or kits? I'm also in the beginning stages of rebuilding/restoring my '93 bronco so any information on where the best starting point is would be great. Thanks for all the help!!

Good choice, manuals won't leave you stuck nearly as often.

As for where to start, that's a pretty big question <grin>. Where do you WANT to start ? Do you have any problems that need to be fixed, issues to be dealt with ? That's where I'd start first. With those taken care of what do you WANT to do with your truck because that will determine what/how you build it and govern most of the choices you make.

cory, look in the How-To & Tech Articles forum for info on swapping to manual hubs. There's also a link to Miesk5's Homepage with a few write-ups. It's an easy, affordable swap to do, under $100 for Warn or MileMarker hubs. As for re-doing your Bronco, start with normal maintenance items. Stuff like the brakes and steering linkage/alignment, check & change all the fluids in the engine, trans, etc. Once you have the beast running right, then you can start looking at mods like a better exhaust system, new tires & wheels, stereo, or whatever. Good luck, and welcome to Bronco Zone!!! JSM84
