90 Bronco tailgate window only works w key

I have a 1990 Bronco. The rear tailgate window only goes down and up with the key. I have checked both fuses, the problem is not with them. My rear window defrost also doesn't work.although the light on the defrost switch comes on when flipped. Any help would be much appreciated. I'd really love to fix these two issues before winter sets in.

There are 2 fuses for the tail gate, 1 for the dash switch and one for the key switch.   Attached diagrams to help you troubleshoot the problem.

The ground for the rear key switch is through the dash switch.  So get a meter and check for 12V at the contact that the light blue wire with a black stripe wire attaches to.  If no +12v there troubleshoot your way back to fuse 14 in the inside panel.  The key has to be in the Run or Acc position.
