I've been trying to sell off the cab and chassis from my donor 88 F-350 for about a year with no luck. A few wheelin' buds sent me this pic, and suggested we build something fun:

It's a F350 4-dr cab on a shortened frame with a 460, C6. Np205 on Rockwell axles, called the "Rock Limo" (pic copied from Texas4x4.org).

I still have the complete cab, bed and frame from the 88, but have swapped the engine, tranny, t-case and both axles into my 84 Bronco. I do have a 79 F-150 single cab. longbed frame, and possibly getting a 89 2WD F250 single cab, flatbed dually with a 460 and ZF manual tranny. This is a running truck.

Looking for opinions on whether to swap the 4-dr cab onto one of the other frames, or just chopping off about 60 inches of the 88 F-350 frame. I also have an 88 Bronco frame, but I think it's too short, as the rear doors would be over the rear wheels. JSM84

Thanks!!! I have a spare 460, C6, and NP205 ready to drop in, just looking for the rocky's or at least a front D60. The 89 has a Dana80 DRW axle, which has 4.63 gears. And my Bronco's are set-up for one driver and one front-seat passenger, no backseat riders/drivers for safety reasons. We thought it would be cool to have an air-conditioned rig with seating capacity for 5-6, maybe some folks that are new to crawling (or some hot babes, right?). JSM84

Build a Centurion! Or if you do a large enough body lift on the Bronco frame the back doors could be above the wheels.

Please keep us posted with photos!

I seriously thought about the "Centurion" mod, but gave up on that due to the design problems. Cutting and splicing the rear of the cab for the Bronco-style removable top is alot of work, and alot of the Centurion broncos have problems with rust or cracking at the seam where they're bonded. I could always cut out the rear panel from the 4-dr cab, but my buds insisted on A/C to keep the riders in comfort. I'm still open to ideas, though, and will consider the body lift to clear the rear tires, JSM84
