'88 Bronco II shifter ****

Can anyone tell me how to get the shifter **** off of trans. shifter & the 4wd shifter. I've tried unscrewing, won't budge. Tried knocking it off verticle, didn;t budge. Popped the center cap off, thought maybe I would find a nut holding it on, no nut there.

Also if youve got a hot air gun you can heat the shifter a bit and it will let go . /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

pull straight up on the t-case ****, but on the trans **** push the chrome part down, once you do this you can get a ***** driver and pry the **** off

LOL, you guys make it sound so easy! I had to get the hacksaw out to get mine off!

Same here,tried for an hour not to break it then gave up and got sawin.
