Ok I have an 87 Bronco 2, I know its intake and not a carb but I sprayed carb cleaner on the air filter as a suggestion from a friend, sure enough it started for the first time in two weeks since it ran out of gas (put in 5 gal just to get it to gas station however doesn't start so no getting there). However it only stays on for a few seconds then dies, has new oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter now. Any ideas?

When mine stalled and wouldn't start, I got a friend and he manually choked the engine by taking the air filter tubes (2) off the throttle body and held his hand over till it started. As soon as he took his hand away, it would sputter and stall. The cause - dead fuel pump.

Just a thought to get you going. If it is a fuel pump, here's a link from a few weeks ago that should help - http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?sho...mp;hl=fuel+pump

I'm not familiar with BII engines, but is that EFI? You may also have sucked in some junk and clogged the system.

Good luck,

:)>-
