sounds interesting i had a 79 f150 with the 300 i got for $150 that i bought for just the axle. my 96 also had the 300 but with a 5spd and i was gonna put the 79 frame with the np435 under it but i never had the time and it was gettin to cold to ride the motorcycle 25 miles to work and the city eventually complained of havin the 79 sittin around so i stripped it to bare frame rails and junked the frame. if your profect goes well i might go pick up a 78 bronco frame and put my 96 on it and build a small wood flatbed. i like the idea of having a low height straight axle f150 to drive everyday. i eventually just got a 79 bronco to play with. good luck!

my plan is to take my existing 87 front clip and body and mate it to my new 78 cassis, then i plan to put a 4" suspention lift, a 3"body, and 35x12.5 mud kings. the cassis has a 9" and a dana 44 front axle, and to top it off... 4:10 gears, detroit locker in the rear, and an ox locker in the front
