78-79 trany

Hey everyone. im sort of new to this bronco page. i bought my bronco back about a year ago and ive been deployed for a bit so i havent really been able to do the work i want to do with it. i would like to find another 78-79 ford with a manual trany in it so i can do a trany swap. i have an auto that pretty much seen better days and instead of rebuilding it i would like to find a manual and do a swap. but im gonna need pretty much the whole truck to do the swap. my luck in finding the truck is what has hit a brick wall. i need help. if anyone out there knows of someone who has a 78-79 with a manual trany, please contact me thru this site or thru e-mail at [email protected]. i have a 460 big block, 4wheel drive in the bronco now so im gonna need a trany to mount that engine cause i would like to keep it. well thanks a lot!

In case you didnt know, you can look for a truck with a 351m and 400 as well. The bellhousings are the same. The only difference will be you have to get a flywheel for the 460.

which means you could, just as easily, find a manual trans from a pickup with a 460

Just broadening his search, he couldnt find a truck with a 460 and manual tranny. Thats what I got from reading his whole post anyway
