the more and more i shop around for an eb that i like, the more discouraged im getting, all the ones i like are at least $70-80K and they have tons of unnecessary things that i dont want to pay for and it seems like a lot of bronco owners are so proud of their cars that they try to make their money back on mods that they should be taking a loss on when they sell.
so ive reached a point where im considering just buying an EB frame and body tub kit and building one from scratch. How do yall feel about the tub kits and how would the registration and resale value be affected, is it no longer technically a genuine ford bronco? would it have to be registered as a kit car? and seeing how the tub is 10 grand on its own, would it be a better idea to just buy a beat up EB and rip out the guts, take the body off the frame and restore everything that way, how difficult is it to restore a rusty frame? is it worth it? could a rusty frame also be unrestorable? also, how do yall feel about Icon, seems like theyre pretty over priced and more geared towards being an all around daily driver.
i dont even have a bronco yet and its already taking up so much of my time, im just really cautious about taking the first step cause i want to take the best approach the first time around, thats why i joined this forum
