I Got a 5.0l out of a 87 mustang and its turning out to be alot more involed then i thought. its going into a 70 EB with a NP435. Right now i have three problems.

1. I want to use my only slightly used 11in centerforce phase 2 clutch off my 302 but it wont fit on the 5.0l 157 tooth flywheel.

Do i need to get a new flywheel or new clutch... or maybe can i rebalance the 50 oz fly wheel off the 302?

2. I'm not sure what oil pan to use. i have the an oil pan that looks similar to the kit for toms bronco parts, http://www.tomsbroncoparts.com/product.php...ry=33&id=28 , on the 302 and kinda want to use it on th 5.0l because its deeper and has a higher volume . but will it work fine considering the 5.0l is a double sump and is more shallow. Clearance is not a issue.

3. Does anybody know where to get an affordable harness to adapt the 5.0l to my new centech wiring harness. i found one from RJM Injection but nobdy there has answered the phone in 2 weeks or called me back.

1)

Yes, you can re-balance your flywheel, actually it will end up being "un balanced" by the time its done.

Or you can purchase a 164 tooth 50 oz flywheel, either way the 157 will not work.

2)

You can use the 5.0 pan if you have 2+ inches of lift, otherwise it will self clearance on the diff housing.

3)

You don't need to buy a harness, get a good quality wiring diagram and sit down with your donor harness and pull all the wiring you don't need. Between the Centech and the factory Ford harness you will end up with a "bullet proof" wiring job.

I have a '75 and went with an 89 complete mustang EFI, stock 89 pan(mustang), 75 flywheel, centerforce stang 2 chevy 11' disc, nv4500, 4.5" WH. lift + 3"body....works great, RJM EFI harness eliminates alot of sensors unnessesary for smog exempt '75

Well, he hasn't changed in the several years I have known of RJM. He doesn't answer emails or phone calls and takes his sweet time in sending his advertised products if ever. If you are not in a hurry, like you can wait 3 or 4 months, he has some great products. As far as customer service is concerned he is a -100 on a scale of -100 to 100. If you search the FSB forum. you will find numerous complaints from people waiting for him to ship products. I personally waited 3 month and then could only get my money back after filing a complaint with PayPal.

Take STLKIKINs advice.

Good luck,

:)>-
