i plan on getting beard sporters hb seats with the 4 point slots at the shoulder. should i get a Y shoulder harness or H style. does the shoulder harness have to be mounted directly behind the seat or can i go to the side and mount on the roll bar. i still want the back seat to have leg room so i dont know about a floor mount, any suggestions on seat belt harness would be appreciated .thanks for the help.

heres a crude example of side mount. would that work

The choice of a 4=pt or 5=pt or Y-type or H-type harness is up to you, but either one should have the shoulder straps mounted to a horizontal bar behind the seat at a level with your sternum when seated. Floor mounting is bad, as the belts will tend to compress down on your spine as your body moves forward. One or two of the mfg's websites may have diagrams and more info on mounting location. I have RCI 5-pt harnesses mounted to my rollcage, along with PRP Racing seats botled directly to the cage, not the weak floor. I grew tired of welding the factory seat brackets and cracking my floorpan. JSM84

The pic in your link is too large for me to view, so here's one of my seats and rollcage:
