ok, guys im new to the bronco and everything, but the most important question i have is:

I have a 1986 mustang FI 302 motor

i have a 1987 bronco FI 351w

I want to take full motor out ofboth cars, and put the 302 in the bronco. Is there anything i need to do for this swap? i know how to get the 351 in the mustang but i need to put the 302 in the bronco soon. So any info will be great, can i just throw the 302 with all accesories into the bronco? do i need to move the computers? anything please help, bronco is going to be the daily driver trailering my stang. thanks

I just did the 86 mustang 302 ** swap in a 78 for a 351 m, you should have a much easier time. If the 302 is the roller cam, or ** motor the computer should be the ok (same firing order), but I don't know anything if it's a speed density system, then I think the computers have to be switched, not sure though. The motor mounts and bellhousings should also be identical. If the 302 has the factory headers I believe you will need to buy new or new exhaust. I got my headers from summit BIG-91627FLT, $199.95. They may bolt up to your factory exhaust, you might want to closely inspect where your exhaust manifold or headers exit, the pictures on summit are what the headers look like. I have been told that the 351w has taller heads so your exhaust manifolds or headers off of the 351w may not work. Hope this helps.
