Should a 1993 Bronco automatic with a 302 have a power steering pressure switch (PSPS)? Mine has the female end from the wiring harness but the PS hose does not have a connector on it. The hose looks old but just wondering if someone replaced the hose at some point without a connector, just straight hose. Any help would be appreciated.

Yo Jay,
Power Steering Pressure Switch (5.0L Without E4OD Only); The Power Steering Pressure Switch signals the EEC Module when power steering pressure exceeds 350 psi ±50. The engine then increases idle speed to compensate for the additional load.
It appears the switch was deleted from the '94 model year. It only shows up in the diagrams until '93. The switch is directly above the steering box.

The PSPS mounts in the pressure line near where the rubber hose is crimped to the hard-line at the steering gearbox inlet. If you have the 5.0 with E4OD, you won't have a PSPS.

2 wire connector, wire colors are red/yellow and grey/red. Ford included the connector even if the switch wasn't installed.
