Definately go with the susp. lift my man.

They are well more the $. I mean yeah the body lift is cheap but you gotta realize what all you have to get relocated and replaced... many bracketry, steering has to be adjusted, and many more parts. Those are just a few I had off the top of my head.

But my overall opinion, STAY AWAY FROM THE BODY LIFTS.

Now I'll grant that this is just a personal opinion but I wouldn't go thru the hassle of installing a susp lift for much less than 4". Might as well give yourself the space to run either 33's OR 35's depending upon how the spirit move ya. I run 33's on mine w/stock suspension and don't have any problems but then again I don't really get out there and do anything that max's out the suspension either. I'd like to run 35"/36's and will put in a 4" kit & maybe trim the fenders but it sure does seem like a lot of work and hassle to just gain 2". The shocks are really a judgement call, think rrealistically about what you do with the truck & how you use it. I know a LOT of guys who've been roped into buying premium capacity shocks to essentialy do nothing more than drive back & forth on cruise night. If you honestly think you can benefit from dropping the coin on a higher level shock than do it, otherwise spend the $$$ somewhere else.

Yea i did think about gettin a 4" kit, but do you think itll look goofy with 4" of lift and 33s? Also one reason i was gonna get the 2" was to get more clearance while gettin new shocks and springs.

(im fixin up to sell it eventually but i wanna build a better then average trail truck too while i have it, **** if i ever found a place to do it and the money id put a sterling 10-1/4" and dana 60 front $-) lol)

If I were you I definatly would go with a 4" suspension lift. I put a 2.5" kit on my Bronco and it looks good, but when I was done I thought to myself, WOW that was a lot of work for only 2.5". The 4" lift kit has the same major components as a 2.5" kit and roughly the same amount of work. I find myself wondering what my Bronco would look like if I went with 4" instead of 2.5". Don't make the same mistake that I made.

Alright thanks for the advice man, after thinkin about it i think i am gonna get the 4" kit. But it all depends on how much money i make this summer as to how much i wanna spend on a lift, because i also dont plan on goin over 33s

If you are dead set on the 33"s, stay with the 2" lift otherwise you will have that disproportionate look you are trying to avoid. If you are going to be doing some decent wheeling and/or experiancing some colder temperatures, go with the nitro charged shocks because they keep the fluid from foaming alot during alot of cycling (while off-roading) and in the winter, they react better to the colder temperatures until they get warm up. Even in Kansas, the straight fluid shocks were stiff in the winter until they were a little worked up, when I replaced them with Nitro charged shocks, they were more forgiving until the fluid was in full swing. Just my food for thought.

Honestly in my opinion the $ for the 2" just isnt worth it.

If you go with the 4" your 33's will still look good.

(you will be able to get mad flex with that)

But that is just my opinion.

Yea man i was thinkin about that but the 4" kit with the nitro shocks and new rear springs was over 1k cause it also has longer radius arms and 2" kit was under 1k. $-)

Id want the 4" just cause its taller but im just gonna get my new job next month at a local shop doin tires and see how much money im makin. Im gonna set my goal at the 2" kit for now just so i wont be disapointed if im not makin the cash i thought. lol

I'm very new to the forum and I'm sure that this info is someplace. But I was wondering the same thing about the 2" or 4" lift. I have not seen anything posted that mentioned if any modifications have to be done to the drive shafts for a 92 with the 4". But I do agree that a body lift changes the center of gravity away from the suspension moment and thus creating more body roll. I have also read that the 4" lift will cure the problem with the stock suspension front end sag syndrome. I am still wondering (mostly my bank account dictates) what I can do to my truck. I've had it for 3 month and don't like the way the front end is lower then the back. I am close to replacing the front coils with new stock ones to see if that will bring it back to level or is this trait just the bronco way?

Any help would be appreciated.

4" suspension lift. look at rough country's kit for this. its a good complete kit and reasonably priced. a 4" lift will ginve you plenty of room to flex those 33's. i run the rough country on mine with 35"s and have had no trouble so i know you will be fine with a 33'. for body lifts.........bad idea!!!!. it raises the center of gravity of an already top heavy vehicle even more making it even more top heavy. plus the mounts that provide the lift have a reputation to break more often than not. makes sense as seeing how they are made of some really good PLASTIC

BroncoBill is right my friend. Puttin' on a 2" lift...YOU'LL BE SORRY!!! You'll wish you would of went with a 4", and for all the work that goes into her...well enough said. I put a 4" Superlift on mine with 33" and of course shortly after wished I'd gone with a 6" lift or some 35"s. (But the grass is alway's greener, right)? Just try to think of what you and you're truck would be happy with. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

also with the 2" lift you are not moving the pivot points at all so you have a harder time getting the camber geometry back in. also since your radius arms stay it will change the caster a bit as well. If you are just trying to level out a sagging front end you can get taller coils for around $100 or you can get coil spacers.

If your trying to do a lift on the cheap you can flip you rear shackles around and im told get like 4" out of the rear, just need to be sure of your pinion angle when you do this. The front end will need a SAS or you will need to piece a kit together. Or buy one of the kits. rough country has been the best priced kit ive found.

You can also cut away everything that rubs:)
