I went to stop last night and when I pushed the peddle there was a pop feeling and then the peddle went to the floor. You can guess what didn't happen next. I thought that I blow a line but no sign of fluid. 89 302

If there is any pressure on the pedal then disconnect one of the brake lines and push the pedal, if no fliud then it's bad. If there is no pressure on the pedal take the master cylinder off and try to push/pull the plunger and see what happens. Speaking of all this brake stuff people have been having problems with, I just replaced the master cylinder on my 99 ******... that POS broke on me!

I've seen test guages that ***** into the ports where the brake lines go, but they cost more than a rebuilt master cylinder. If you've checked all the lines and conections as well as each wheel cylinder and found no fluid comeing out of any of those points, and you are positive that there is no air in the system, there is really only one way the pedal can go all the way down with no pressure build up. Fluid is getting past the piston as you push it through the master cylinder.

I guess you could try plugging the ports on the master cylinder, (maybe with short pieces of brakeline that have been crimpped or brazed shut?) you could isolate the master cylinder from the rest of the system. Then if you still get no pressure when you push the pedal in, that would be proof that the problem lies within the master cylinder.

If there are no leaks its definately the master cylinder I had an old plow truck that did that quite often the pedal would drop to the floor and no brakes hit it a couple times and brakes . If your driving it on the road just change it and be safe . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for that about the ebrake. I dont think that it works and I dont want to take the chance of it locking up.

Also If I buy a breake booster does it include the master cylinder.
