I'm just going to list a few questions in the same thread so i don't keep posting up new ones.

1. What's the best way to get little dents out of the body? There are a few that are in the body lines that look really tough, is there a way to get them out or just buy new parts?

2. The truck is that dark green color right now with a faded blue top. I'm thinking about just repainting the entire truck black. Will the topper ever shine like the rest of the truck? They always seem faded because of that rough texture. Any other color ideas?

3. The motor has 169k on it and it smokes pretty bad. It needs re ringed for sure, not sure about the rest. Is it easier to just rebuild this motor and get it machined or just to buy a rebuild from Parker or whoever else makes them? Do you know of any other places that sell rebuilt 302's? Prices?

I think that's all i have for a while, it should keep me pretty busy. I appreciate all the help. Maybe after this is all said and done i can answer other people's questions instead of me posting questions everytime.

I dont do body work except for swapping out parts, so I wont try to offer advice there. For the top I always use a marine fiberglass cleaner. The same stuff you would use to clean and polish you'r boat. The texture of the top does make it a little more difficult but it works well to get rid of the oxidized look of the top. As for a shinny top, furniture polish with orange oil ( please dont ask ) it only lasts for a week or so but for a fresh washed friday night cruise it works good.

As for the engine Its really up to you. I personally think its better to rebuild if possible, If you do the work you KNOW whats actually in your engine. That and the pride of doing it yourself. If time or tools is a problem a crate engine is a very good option. But like everything else do your home work. I have heard good things about a company in Cali. called Lansing Engines however no personal experiance with them.

I think questions are a good thing, After all isnt that what its all about, helping others if we can?? :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
