I know that C6's are for the big blocks and 351Ms, C4's for the small blocks, but what about manual transmissions?

Does an NP435 only bolt up to small blocks and not the 351M? Or do you change the bell housing? What is the model of 4 speed transmission that comes factory on the 78-79 Broncos and Trucks with 351Ms/400s?

all of the 4-speeds will bolt up to all of the motors, it's just a matter of changing the bellhousing.

78-79 broncs could've been had with a c6,a t-18,or an np435.

They make the C6 in the small block ( 289/302/351W/351C ) bolt pattern and the big block pattern ( 351M/400/429/460 ) C4 I think was all small block pattern stick trannys went either way just depended on the bell housing used . /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
