Yo Not,
There is a tiny × in upper left corner of the ad. I enlarge the screen to see it and then click on the x to delete ad after you see this pop - up;

Nice!

Ok back to the thread. Are you all ok with changing up the generations? Here is how I am thinking. First one will be the 6th gen. So something like this:

-Bronco Generation Forum
--6th Gen : 2020 to Present
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

--5th Gen : Dates....
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

--4th Gen : Dates....
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

--3rd Gen : Dates....
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

--2nd Gen : Dates....
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

--1st Gen : Dates....
--- General Discussion
--- Engine & Performance
--- Suspension
--- Interior
--- Exterior
--- Audio & Electronics
--- Tech Info

Also, would be moving the Tech forums that are already on here into the tech forums within each Gen.

What do you all think?

What about combining these into one heading
Builds: Suspension, Exterior, Interior, maybe add audio under this heading as well.

You could name it customizations, custom builds, builds only, Gen 1 builds, Gen 2 Builds, ect……

A fabrication area for custom bumpers, roll bars, tire carrier, add on’s, or where we could talk about special tools like, saws, welders, rollers, lifts, tubing benders..

The general section to me would be as that general conversation of the models discussed.

Just a few of my scattered thoughts

Yo,
Issue is dividing 1980 - 1996 Ford Bronco sections into each generation, or leave it be and label it as 3rd, 4th & 5th Generations?

Cool, but could just add a Builds forum within each Gen section.

Was going to ask this as well. Was doing some research but could never find a real answer to what gens are withing the time frame? Are there not specific Gens between '80-'96?

Since Generations 3rd, 4th & 5th are basically the same size and appearances leave it be and label it as 3rd, 4th & 5th Generations.

Are there any differences to the years at all? Like a different motor size, different dash panel look, and so on?

yessir lots of differences. Just look at gen 1 to gen 2, huge size difference, gen 2 to gen 3 quick to point out wish bone for straight axle, and so on. I’m not the expert to report on the gen 4 and on up

For example look at
Ford Bronco Forum

1980 - 1996 Ford Bronco
We would have determine correct year and applicable Generation for the vast majority.

Yeah, with this change, we as staff would have some work cut out for us. It doesn't have be done in one day for sure. We could take our time with it.

I would really to try and seperate the 80-96 into to their own gen as I have had atleast 3 members pm recently if there was an easier way to manage it as it was tough from them to find what they were looking for when its all combined.

Yo Bryan,
Suggest we somehow split Generations for example;

"Generation 1: The Original Ford All-Purpose Vehicle 1966-1977

Generation 2: Bronco Goes Bigger 1978-1979

Generation 3: From the Trail to the Interstate 1980-1986

Generation 4: The Aerodynamic Age

1987-1991

Generation 5: The Final Lap produced revised aerodynamics and styling. And was vehicle of choice for Rangers in the United States Forest Service and Border Patrol officers. 1992-1996
I think the Gen 3 should be broken into 2 sections. The 80 - 82s have some differences in many of their subtle parts makeup and the aftermarket world doesn't yet address those years as well.

So 80-82 is basically 3rd gen?
