Wiper Motor

With the top off, what are people doing with the wiper motor? Taking if off? I have learned it is not an easy task to take off and put on at will, so once it is off, I plan on keeping off for a while, but didn't know if most just keep the wiper motor on without the cover on?

Doesn't hurt anything sticking up there..., you can purch. a motor "drop bracket" to bring it down. (wipers still work fine)
