where is it?

1995, 5.8, 4e0d, does anyone know where on the transmission the VSS is located?

Not on the transmission.... it's on the rear end on top of the pumpkin.

Bidi, the one on the rear end is the ABS sensor (as ford calls it) I replaced that and my problem went away for awhile but now its back so I'm not sure,. The VSS is located on the transmission somewhere according to the Factory book but the manual section for the 4e0d doesn't say where, just that some 95's had them. both sensors are two completely looking items but kinda do the same thing

On the 95 the VSS and ABS are both controled form the rear Dif. I think that it was not untill 95 that they combined this so the book could be in error for the 95.

ok, thank you. i was able to buy one for the 95 at advanced auto parts, at least their computer showed it was for a 95 5.8. good thing i kept the receipt
