I have a water leak on the right rear of the rear top .. I thought at 1st that maybe the 3rd brake lite was the culprit .. but its dry .. I haven't pulled down the headliner yet .. but it seems the water must be comming from the seal between the cab and the rear roof and running along above the side window then dripping down to the deck .. 1st .. has anyone come across a water leak problem and am I on the right track? 2 .. If I go as far as pulling the top ... are the gaskets from LMC as good as the ones from Ford ? AND is there anything I should know or watch out for before putting the top back on ?

Sounds like the hardtop-cab main seal is what's leaking. I've had good results with the LMC Truck weatherstrip, too. Many of their parts carry the FoMoCo logo, just have been discontinued from the Ford dealership, JSM84

You could just try snugging the bolts that hold the cap to the cab. I had the same leak and tightening them solved the problem. It would be vest to loosen the bolts between the quarter panel and cap before snugging the cab bolts.

Good luck,

:)>-
