Hi guys, new to the forum, I just picked up an 89 5.8 that is in realy great condition, I think, and I had a puzzeling situation come up. I picked this up as a 3rd car to drive in the snow since my car can't handle the Ut weather and I don't know a damn thing about trucks so I figured I'd see if anyone could help me.

I put a throttle body spacer by Airaid on last weekend and I didn't like the whistleing so I took it back off. The thing is, I had no problems before installing it, but imediately after it seems ther is something going on with the tranny. Now, ever so often when I go to take off it feels l like I'm sitting in neutral and then it will take off after a second, it doesn't do this all the time just once in a while and mostly when it's cold and just barely warmed up. This doesn't happen whn it's in second or third and so on, just in first. When I installed the spacer I unplugged two electrical connectors that were on the passenger side of the throttle body to get to the bolts holding it on. I did this without first diconnecting the battery and I know that's a no-no but I forgot until it was too late, so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it. It just seems to coincidental that this started the first time I drove after the install and uninstall, she has always shifted smoothly. No engine light or anything. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
