I have a Spare parts truck that has a Good transfer case But the truck is Automatic! My good truck is a 5 speed manual.

Will the transfer case not work in my truck because the T-case is out of an Automatic?

Spare parts truck 86 ford ranger 2.9L Automatic A4LD with touch drive four wheel drive

My good truck is a 86 Ford Ranger 2.9L 5 speed Mazda manual with touch drive four wheel drive but the t-case is bad!!!

As long as the output shaft of the 5spd and the tailshaft of the automatic have the same spline count the T-case should bolt up. Pull the one off of your parts truck and count the splines on the A4LD's tailshaft into the T-case and compare them with yours. Or just verify that its the same transfer case part number, id assume that it would bolt up.

Im relatively new to fords as im really more of a toyota guy but you will find that with most vehicles transfer cases are interchangable from auto to manual.
