Tranny q's

I just got a 68 and i would like to change the tranny to an auto. I would like to get a c6 but I don't know where. Should I go to a salvage yard? I am not concerned about how it looks just where do I start. I googled some stuff but brand new seems very expensive. Any advice would help.

Not cheap...even if the trannie's "free"

Why the desire for auto...?

I've had both & strongly prefer the stick....way more fun to drive on the trails.

The auto made it seem as though I was just along for the ride...

I apreciate the comments. But any advice on where i should start looking for an alternative transmission auto or manual.

Jeffs Bronco Graveyard, for one.....Toms Br. Parts...

Most all of the Bronco parts houses have used, re-built trannies.
