TOPPER GASKET/A.C.

I am looking at buying an '87 from craigslist, i have already driven and i am pretty happy all around with it. The owner has used silicone to seal the topper, he say's the first time they took it off, they ruined the original seal. Does anybody know the part # or what it is exactly called so i can replace it? My second question is how difficult or expensive would it be to install new A.C. Here is the link for any other feedback or anything to be aware of.

The front top seal for the hardtop-$30, and the rigid top seal for the cab-$30 from Bronco Graveyard. Not too bad, even if you have to replace all the other seals, cost is under $200. Replacing the A/C compressor and any of the other components can get expensive in a hurry, and more so if you convert to R-134a. IF the Bronco is cheap, might be a deal. But if it has some problems you don't want to deal with, keep looking. JSM84

Like the others said, the top seals are pretty cheap and available from a couple of places here is another source, Broncograveyard. The A/C parts can get expensive. Here is list of components from LMC Truck to give you an idea of prices. To do the A/C right, you will also need to have someone leak test and then purge and charge the system for you. When I replaced my compressor last spring, I got a shop to evacuate the system for free, but they charged me $60 to test, purge, and re-charge it.
