You might pose that ? in the forums, should get lots of opinions. In my experience rock crawling, ground clearance is more important than a locker. the breakover point seems to be 35" tires where i go in the TX hill country. the Jeeps and Sami's with 31's/ 33's need lockers. The blazers and broncos on 38's don't. If you have both 38's and lockers f&r, you can often take the 4-diamond trails and leave the jeepers behind, joining up with the crawling buggies. If you're just going to run 33's, then I would have a L/S rear with a front locker or spool. you're going to break more u-joints and shafts with the smaller tires trying to get on top of the rocks instead of clearing them with the taller tires.
