2 days ago my rear window switch and my drivers side passenger window switch stopped working, I know it isn't the motors because the rear window still works with the key and the passenger window still rolls down when I use the passenger side switch. The divers side passenger window switch will work when it is cold outside though 50 or lower?

I went ahead and took of the door pannels and the wiring seemed to be fine and I would normally assume its the switches but because they both went out together I figured I should check here first.

Thanks

Kyle

May be you should still trouble shoot them as separate problems. If you are lucky, it may turn out to have a common source. Fuse 14 is common to both the tailgate and door windows, but the path to them is separate. The tail gate has two fuses that power the motor, fuse 12 provides power to the switch on the tail gate and fuse 14 provides power to the dashboard switch. Fuse 14 also provides power for the door windows.

As for the power window problem, that is commonly caused by a break in the wires where they flex between the door and the chassis entry point. Especially since you said something about temperature, I would suspect that either the yellow with black stripe wire or the red with black stripe wire is broken internally or has a bad connection at one of the switches or a connector.

There is no common connector that would allow the door windows to work and not allow the tailgate dashboard switch if it were bad. Check the voltage on the light blue with black stripe wire on the dashboard rear window switch, there is a splice in the light blue with black stripe wire after it leaves the fuse which feeds the power to various locations. It could be a possible cause of a common problem with the two windows.

Hope my rambling helps and doesn't confuse you.

Good luck,

:)>-
