I have a question about swapping seats. I found a pair of seats in good condition on ebay so i ordered them. I have a 1989 bronco. These are supposedly early 80's seats. The only thing I know is that they have an adjustable head rest which is better than what I have now. I know that the chance the holes match up is slim, so what are my options in swapping after that. Can i remove the under frame from my current seats and mount it to the replacement seats?

Sure you can, I have seats from a minivan mounted on my seat rails. I'm pretty sure that the floor bolts are in the same location. The main difference between early 80 seats and 87/88 is that the driver seat did not tilt forward and the entire passenger seat flipped forward on the early 80 version.

Good luck,

:)>-
