Ok guys and gals, I may sound like a dummy however I have a question. I have an 83 bronco with 302 in it, I got in it last night to drive to the store, as I was backing out of the driveway it cut off and I cannot get it to crank again. It will turn over, it has gas and oil. Is this a spark plug/distributor problem or what?????? Thanks :glare:

If gas & spark is good, check timing.....I had one do this & it was a worn timing chain. (jumped a tooth)

OR

your distrib. may have just come loose at the lock-down bolt.

Just 2 of several possibilities.

if it just out of nowhere died, check all the connections on the solenoid. i had that problem the other night before all of the other mess i'm having. one of the wires on the solenoid just broke and my bronco just died while i was driving. give it a try.
