Hello,

I am looking at purchasing a 1987 B2, push button 4WD, 2.9, automatic, 119,000 miles. My first Ford. It has a starting problem. Sometimes it takes a lot of cranking to get it started, sometimes it fires right up? Once it's running, he says, it runs very well. The guy that I want to purchase it from said that he checked and has the proper fuel pressure. He also did a basic electrical tune up. The problem still persists. What can the problem be? Can it be a bad ground? Does this vehicle have computerized control? What am looking at, dollar wise, to fix this problem? Should I be worried about buying this thing? Please, email me directly at [email protected], as I need some quick answers. Thanks!

Regards,

Dave
