Soft Top options

[Doug's 68]

Does anyone have any recommendations for a soft top for a 68? It looks like the only option is the Bestop. I looked at James Duff, Tom's and Bronco Gravyard and it doesn't look like any of them are currently offering one. I also saw an article in Bronco driver about the Canback top, but it looks like that company is going through some transition and no longer offering the top for the Bronco.

Any advise is appreciated...

I have the Bestop with their (fairly) new 2 piece doors. I have no complaints about the top, although it does take a little time to put up or take down.

I love the IDEA of the 2 piece doors, but they just don't work worth a damn. The passenger side door is too tall, and won't close under the top lip of the top (unless someone helps it from the outside).

The worst part of the doors is that once you hit about 35 mph, the tops of the doors pull AWAY from the top leaving about a 1 1/2" gap between the windshield frame and the door. There's no way the heater can keep up with that!

Get a better heater /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> , you can always do the Ch*vy heater motor conversion and it will cook your toes like bacon.

There is another top out there that a guy in Vancouver, Washington is making, but he is a bit slow and they are expensive. They are really good tops though...the guys name is Rick and his website is http://broncocovers.com/

There is also BC Broncos that just came out with their own top as well. They too are expensive, but it comes with the BC name and craftsmanship.
