hey guy I was just needing to know the point of the snorkel? What does it do? And I have a k&n fipk2 kit and it go rid of the snorkel so whats gonna happen if i go muddin in some rivers?

Snorkels are to make the air intake much higher up so the engine isnt sucking water into it, because if it does youll stall out and may be looking at a engine tear down.

Ditto and you may not even have to bother with engine tear down. Since water doesn't compress well you may have a completelyt destroyed engine like rods bent and snapped, cracked block,etc.

snorkel works the same for humans as they do for trucks. raise the level of the air intake opening so as to prevent dust, water, mud, etc from getting in your motor's induction system and causing it to stumble, seize, or grenade

I'm not sure but I know on my '95 T-Bird it had a "snorkle," that was basically an added piece under the air box to "silence" the engine a little more. Don't know if it was on the Bronc'? Before I got the T-Bird, the only snorkle I knew of was one to put the intake filter area higher up like you guys are saying.
