Took my 74 apart for paint now the drivers door has a gap at the rear it closes, but when you are inside you can see daylight where the new door seals are it needs to come back about a quarter of an inch. Any ideas, on how to move door back or to move the latch so the door will close further.

the hing mounting plates in the pillar will move up, down, in & out. You also need to loosten up the door latch on the rear pillar. They are a royal pain in the rear to adjust, it might be worth the money to just take it to a body shop and let them do it if you can get it done for a C-note.
