anyone got any idea to the price of converting drums to rotors on the 84?

try http://stainlesssteelbrakes.com i think they make a kit should be complete for 800-1000 bucks.im not sure about the swap ability of explorer brakes but that would be a good place to look also....dave

I emailed SSB about a year ago, and they did not have a kit for the 84, but they might now. I know there was a dude at www.blueoval.com that made his own kit for about $100 for the Ford 9". He also posted a link at Ford Truck Enthusiasts (www.ford-trucks.com). Also, check with Summit Racing Equipment to see if they have something to offer now. You can use GM rotors but the caliper-mounting brackets will have to be fabricated to fit the Ford axle. Post up what you find out!!!
